All parents want the very best for their children.
In education, this means sending their children to Corowa Public School.
Our teachers are committed to nurturing, guiding, inspiring and challenging students – to find the joy in learning, to build their skills and understanding, and to make sense of their community and their world. It means having confidence that each individual child will be known and understood, their individual potential developed and their access to resources and opportunities uncompromised. As students progress, it means knowing that they are well supported as increasingly self-motivated learners – confident and creative individuals, with the personal resources for future success and wellbeing. Every student will aim to contribute to a nation that values the role of education and access to it as one that is prosperous, cohesive and culturally diverse.
Corowa Public School is located in the regional township of Corowa, beside the Murray River.
The majority of our students live within the township of Corowa, while others travel by bus from the surrounding rural district or interstate from nearby Wahgunyah.
The school has strong links with the local community and reflects values consistent with its rural location.
The school's mission statement, developed by staff and parents, states: 'Connection, Collaboration and Curiosity enhance Creativity'.
Corowa Public School, being the largest feeder school to the local high school, has well appointed facilities and is situated in extensive grounds. Our location, adjoining the river and common land, affords the opportunity for involvement in environmental studies. A community emphasis on sport also enables the students to access a variety of excellent venues and coaching, as part of the school sporting program.
